So, since I can’t play/buy the indie JRPG called “Killer Gin.” I want to talk about it. It looks like an entertaining game. Although I can’t play it, I want to share my thoughts and first impressions.
So I have seen this game dev followed me on Twitter, and I have seen bits and pieces of their game way back then. I saw they were making a jrpg, and it seems appealing, but that was all I knew at the time.
I am going off on impressions here. Reading the steam page, mainly the steam tags for the game, it has dating and farming mechanics, which are optional which you can choose to do at your own pace.
I was watching the trailer for Killer Gin, without sound, cause steam mutes videos on load up. The trailer has a type of flair I like. It’s cheesy. It’s made to be a serious one but fails, at least in my opinion, but I can’t talk. I would and will create something just as cheesy. But that doesn’t mean I hate it by any means. I like it, to be honest.
So, it was done. I have beaten Neptunia Re;Birth1. I got the normal ending but it was a crazy adventure that I thought I could never beat. Other then Shining Force which was years ago.
Neptunia Re;Birth1 was a neat gift from Hyper and now it has been beaten. I got the normal ending and not the true ending. I said I will come back to this and get the true ending or try at least
We are on Cycle 2 or new game plus. But for now, where does that leave Neptunia Re;Birth1 for the channel? As far as it goes for the channel, the game was beaten on stream and a ending was reached.
I will come back to a much later date and try to get the true ending. But the future is unknown, there is a chance I might not bother with it outright.
I had thoughts of playing Neptunia Re;Birth 2 but I have no plans on doing so. If anything, I will play Neptunia Re;Birth 2 on my own time, If I play it. Neptunia Re;Birth 1 was a one off for the channel.
The game is fun but a lot of time and grinding is needed and I don’t have that kind of time anymore to put into RPG when I have so much time into other things.
It was a blast however, and the memories were great, even if the game had it’s moments. But that’s all. Wanted to make this post.
Been playing Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 on Steam, and I have to say, it’s amazing to play and pretty fun to get into. Been wanting to talk about it, since my good friend, Hyper gifted it to me.
Has been a while since I played a good 3D JRPG. I did play a bit a persona 5 but end up dropping it cause I couldn’t get into it. But funny enough, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 uses the same combat system as persona 5 but in Re;Birth1, I can enjoy it. And I love re;birth1. :3
Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 reminds me of a very old JRPG called ” Inuyasha: The Secret of the Cursed Mask ” which is why I enjoy Re;birth1. Inuyasha: The Secret of the Cursed Mask was your normal 3D JRPG. you can make your characters stronger and you even had a custom character. I remember getting pretty far in the game before we lost that disk.
Inuyasha: The Secret of the Cursed Mask for PS2
But Re;Birth is the game that, for me, hits the right notes. It’s 3D for everything else but is a visual novel for story and the hub content and it’s a perfect mix. I know another game where is a visual novel for story and something else for the game.
The characters are charming and great. The story is not half bad. the game is fun, I can’t stress this enough. One thing I have is, the game death system can be punishing, But it is only punishing if you only rush into combat without saving. At first, it may seem unfair but if you are careful, you will be fine.
I just love this game. In fact, I have been streaming this game on my Twitch.tv channel for a good while and it’s the most fun I had in a RPG in a long time. It also feels good to not be rushed in a RPG
But just wanted to share my thoughts on this game, and why I love it. :3 I do plan beating the game on stream. And seeing how far I am in this game, I can’t stop now. :3
Word of warning. The DLC has strong characters that are overpowered at the start. Don’t use them as they make early game feel easy, and boring, which may ruin your experience with the game, and I almost dropped the game due to how overpowered they were. Yikes.
