Elsword Update log #2

So, I’m going to try this style of doing update logs on games or things. Keep track of seven days and note down important thoughts or moments that happened, and after seven days, show off the progress. And boy, got some fun drama.

Day 1 – 01/31/22

\\Rant\\

Elsword

Dealt with elsword drama with a leader. What a pain.

So, what did I do to get the boot from a guild in elsword? my experience.

I have ignored them in-game, I did not see them or anyone speaking on my end, which gave me little reason to chat in guild chat. Why would I speak in a dead chat? So I didn’t and ignored the guild. This, you should never be upset about.

Why I dislike guilds

Guilds. This term irks me so. I have a dislike for guilds, but I should say why I dislike guilds so much. And by proxy why I am not fond of guild leaders and the new guild communities, and this should clear up why I am not fond of guilds.

Let’s start. I’m OnyChaos by the way. :3

Disclaimer: This is me, venting/ranting. And it is crazy that I have to add such a thing. Take what you see with a heavy gain of salt. I’m just telling you what I think and how I feel.

The Dragon Knights

There was a time where I loved guilds, and let’s go back a few years to where it started and why I loved being in guilds. 2017 is not the year. 2011 is not it.

2009 to 2010 is the year. Back before people were super sensitive or hyper-emotional, I was a part of a fun guild called “The Dragon Knights”, and this was an adventure quest worlds guild run by Dragorath and skydragonv1.

This guild had everything that made a guild, a guild at the time. It had a web chat room, forums, website, and a good community to talk with. It was a fun place. You share memes, progress, and talk to other users on forums. It wasn’t like today where you walk on eggshells, which is petty. 2009 to 2010 was great for me.

The Dragon Knights were everything that I wanted in a guild, but like all things, it has to end.

What happened to The Dragon Knights?

The guild disbanded. Given that most users’ social media was Adventure Quest Worlds, the game’s content was starting to get stale and repeating. And with flash MMORPG also being somewhat laggy on some computers back then, and life called.

During the close to the final days, there were mentions of guild wars and nothing of note. And when the guild died, I left the guild but now raising my standards for guilds because The Dragon Knights left me with a good impression.

A guild leader that is not overly emotional and very sane, and would never make a big deal out of nothing.

Last look at guilds for 2021

So, something I wanted to do for a good while, and that thing is to review guilds I have been in. Something I say I would do but never do. Well, time to change that now. This is just my opinion, I have to state that because you know some people take an opinion as fact.

Let’s start with Elsword guilds. Granted there are some guilds that I am no longer in now, but that doesn’t mean I can’t give my new thoughts on the guilds.

These will be just an end of the year thoughts and such.

ThunderCry

about: ThunderCry is an Elsword guild that does the same thing, as other guilds.

My experience: Let me set the scene for you. It’s 2020, and I’m down on my luck. And out of nowhere, Thundercry sends a guild invite to my alt account, and I am weary of the guild since guilds are something I have never been fond of. Check out the Thundercry category.

Talking about Thundercry

Ok. So, I want to humor Ultimate’s plan. Let’s assume that he plans to “revive” ThunderCry. You would need to fix some things on the server. Now I can’t say this would get taken into consideration, but it is worth a shot.

Hi, I’m onychaos. I will be your guide and give some insight into some problems I see with the guild. I already made a post on ThunderCry, which you can check out here >> ThunderCry << Which in that blog post, I give a better run down of what ThunderCry is* or was. But onto the blog post. What can one do when the core of something is gone? And put down your weapons, all whole five of you ThunderCry members.

What are the issues that ThunderCry has?

BLU thoughts

So, I made my post on ThunderCry. And may as well talk about [BLU], the Elsword guild, and discord server. Ah, so. Let’s set the scene, shall we? When I was still in ThunderCry with Shaive. I noticed the lad had an alt character in [BLU] wasn’t sure if it was his main or not. I never ask him about [BLU], but I only heard whispers of this guild in the past.

One of the whispers was that [BLU] is a whale guild, and it was one of the guilds that were close to max level. And of course, after playing Elsword for a good while. I met elitists, who were whales and being me. I assume that [BLU] was going to be a whale guild that was full of elitists that were whales, and your only way to get in was to be a whale as well.

But that was not the case. Shocking, it is funny. Shaive happened to be on Elsword and not AFK. That’s when he offered to invite me to [BLU] Which I was still taking a break from the in-game guilds, and I wasn’t all too fond of joining [Blu] after leaving ThunderCry on my terms because it felt weird to join another guild behind the backs of ThunderCry.

And I felt like If I said no, I probably would not have another chance to join [BLU]TM, But at the same time, everyone pretty much abandoned ThunderCry.

Editor’s Note: Hey, so. This blog post is just my point of view and my experiences with [BLU]. I am just sharing what I think of the server. Are we cool? Cool. ^^

Editor’s Note 2: This post had many drafts. I was editing it a lot, adding something new, or removing something to make it better.

ThunderCry

It is funny. I remember when I made some posts on elsword guilds and talking about how I first joined ThunderCry. Crazy how time flies, huh?

It is time I make a post about ThunderCry and how it is doing. Since the discord server and guild have fallen from grace, in my opinion. The discord server is not gone by any means. But those that were in the discord were either kicked from the server. Left the discord server on their own or cut off all connections from the guild members.

I’m still in the guild server because I made good friends there, and I have a place to talk to friends and play games with friends. When did it all fall apart? At least in my eyes, it started to fall apart after a few key members left. Thundercry is a shell of its former self.

But I guess before I get ahead of myself, I should set the scene and explain what is ThunderCry about, so you will have some idea of what I’m talking about here.

joined elsword guild Thundercry

So, I joined a elsword guild or got a random invite to this guild called “Thundercry” I was gonna decline the invite at first but I figured I will give this guild a fair shot before I deny another invite to a guild

And so far.. It’s not bad but I only been in the guild for 2 days but people seem friendly and it’s pretty active and like always, or rather they are looking for active players. There is no deadline for being inactive. There is, but prob in their discord.

Elsword guild: Thundercry guild stats and guild made by Elsword player “DuoRulersM”

So far, things are going well. But I will report back when I end up getting kicked from the guild for being inactive. For the most part, the members do their own thing. There is somewhat freedom here, and not forced to join them if you wish.

Elsword Guilds

I have always been against being in guilds since I will admit I have a bias against being in a guild. I tried being in a elsword guild but it was boring. I didn’t get the chill vibes so I dropped Elsword a bit to come back to find I was kicked for being inactive

It’s funny, since then, I have never joined a guild since but I say that but…I made a guild for me and my friend since every other guild just gives off this weird energy

I just don’t know. Elsword has gotten better and the NA Elsword are much more friendly now but back then… Yikes. It was not welcoming a few years back. Some of the NA Elsword pvp is still toxic so things never change.
